City of Chillicothe Public Works Committee met March 7.
Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:
Present: Chairman Gould, Alderman Sharp, Alderman Hughes, Mayor White, Superintendent Sutherland
Absent: City Engineer Coulter, Office Manager Passage
Chairman Gould called the meeting to order.
Superintendent Sutherland presented a high usage waiver request from William Krumholtz, 1706 Santa Fe Avenue. He stated that Mr. Krumholtz is present and the water did not go through the system. The amount to be waived was $29.80, using the January, 2018 to December, 2018 water bill. The consensus of the committee was to grant the waiver request, in the amount of $29.80.
Superintendent Sutherland presented a high usage waiver request from Mike Brockhouse, 1420 N. Fourth Street. He stated that Mr. Brockhouse is present and the water did not go through the system. The amount to be waived was $2.90, using the December, 2017 to January, 2018 water bill. The consensus of the committee was to grant the waiver request, in the amount of $2.90.
Superintendent Sutherland presented a high usage waiver request from John Jenkel, Independent Order of Odd Fellows #668, 925 Second Street. He stated that Mr. Jenkel is present and the water did not go through the system. The amount to be waived was $31.76, using the January, 2018 to February, 2018 water bill. The consensus of the committee was to grant the waiver request, in the amount of $31.76.
Superintendent Sutherland advised the committee that the SCADA System’s server needed to go in for repair. The Data Flow System Inc. would like the city to enter into an agreement to provide the City with a temporary server for 30 days. Should the city fail to return the server there would be a cost of $1,000.00. However, as long as the temporary server is returned with 30 days there would be no cost to the city. The consensus of the committee was to present the agreement to the city council for approval.
Superintendent Sutherland presented two proposals for the removal of a tree at the west end of the Cemetery. Lauber tree service in the amount of $1,600.00 and Poignant Tree Service in the amount of $1,600.00. The Mayor recommended that the city use Lauber Tree Service as they are a local company. The consensus of the committee was to present the proposal from Lauber Tree Service to the City Council for approval.
There were no updates as the City Engineer was not present.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 4:48 p.m.
