Analysis: East Peoria pays $3.71 for every $1 pensioners contribute to East Peoria Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 78.8 percent of the $1,843,060 the East Peoria Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.71 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, East Peoria contributed $1,452,077 to the fund, which saw a $108,703 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $390,718, or 21.2 percent, in 2016. Another $265 came from other unspecified sources.
