City of East Peoria recently issued the following announcement.

Flower Sale

• 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, May 5 (ends earlier if sold out) 
• Location: Festival Building, 2200 E. Washington St.
• Sponsor: East Peoria Beautification Commission

The East Peoria Beautification Commission sponsors this annual sale of flowers. Available will be:

• Coleus
• Dahlia
• Dianthus
• Dusty miller
• Impatiens
• Lobelia
• Marigolds
• Petunias
• Portulaca
• Salvia
• Snapdragons
• Stocks
• Verbenia
• Vinca

A limited amount of tomato plants will be available, as well as a variety of peppers:

• California wonder peppers
• Jalapeno peppers
• Red peppers
• Serrano peppers
• Sweet banana peppers
• Yellow peppers

The plants will cost $1 for a four-pack. There is a limit of 12 four-packs per household.

The event is open to East Peoria residents only and identification is required. The sale will occur rain or shine. For more information call 698-5437, option 0.
