Germantown Fire Protection District responded to 12 calls in 2017 - 40 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Germantown included 10 fires - five structure fires, one vehicle fire and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $210,000 in fire loss - or about $21,000 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.
