Bath Fire Protection District responded to five calls in 2017 - 150 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Bath included five fires - one vehicle fire and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $13,000 in fire loss - or about $2,600 per fire.
