City of Canton Joint Planning and Zoning Commission met August 27.

The Meeting of August 27, 2018 was called to order by Ed Patton at 5:30 p.m.
Roll call was taken: 15 members with 11 members attending - Quorum present.
Members Present - Kathy Lock, Maria Orwig, Ed Patton, Alan Dilts, Kay Long, Dave Pickel, Harold Jump, Phil Fleming, Roy Hopper, Angela Hale & Harriett Williams.
Members not present – Craig West, Scott Miller, Angie Lingenfelter, Eric Duffield.
Others Present – Petitioner, Shawn Russell
Chairman Ed Patton called the meeting to order. It is a continuation of the meeting from August 13th when petitioner was unable to be at the meeting due to illness. Ed asked Shawn to give the members a little background on the property. Shawn said he bought the house as an established apartment building. It is 2- story with separate entrances, utilities, 2 driveways. Angela Hale asked about the adjacent property owners and if he said he contacted 9 of them.
A Motion was made by Harriett Williams and seconded by Angela Hale to accept the petitioners request and taking all the Finding of Facts as one. A roll call vote of 10 Ayes and one - No vote from Roy Hopper. Motion carried and will be recommended to the next Council meeting where final decision will be made.
Dave Pickel made A Motion to adjourn the meeting and Maria Holthaus seconded, followed by all Ayes.
Meeting adjourned at 5:43 pm
