City of Pekin Municipal Airport Advisory Commission met Sept. 25.

Approval of Minutes from Last Meeting: SH motion to approve. MB second. Approved
Public Comments on Agenda Items
Special Reports:
1) Future Projects
a. Community Sol-Air – Will be going before County Zoning Board
b. Runway Reconstruction- Concurred for reward. Waiting for state to award contract.
c. Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2018- TIPs meeting is next week. Due date is October 31. We are having our TIPs meeting early in the month to give us as much time as possible to complete the application.
2) Priorities for current month
a. Hangar Lease- TD discussed options for new hangar lease in addition to being in favor of increasing lease rate by $25 per month. Would also like to see a clause added to hangar lease that requires aircraft to be in annual. BH stated that we need a hangar lease for the future. SH motions to have a 1 person subcommittee to update the hangar lease. 2nd by BH. Anonymous approval. BH will chair the committee. SH motions to increase hangar rent by $25 per month. 2nd by RW. 3-2 in favor. BH, SH, and MB voted in the affirmative.
b. Building Standards- MB motions to table while updates to the document are made. 2nd BH.
c. TIPs Meeting- Meeting will be next week. Will come up with our5 year capital plan
3) Current Projects
a. Runway Lighting- Jeff Pearce from Hanson gave an update on the Runway Lighting project.

6) Fuel Report Fuel sales have passed last year’s calendar year totals with a couple months to go.

If commission members want items put on future agenda items, please alert
Airport Manager in advance as to provide more transparency to the public about what will be coming up.

Steve Kinsinger said he runs the machine shop in the back to help fix airplanes with Keith Aero.
Mike Cruce asked about the driving factor for the new proposed hangar rent increase.
