City of East Peoria issued the following announcement on Jan. 29.
East Peoria City Hall will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 30 due to the extreme cold temperatures.
There will be no garbage or recycling collection on Wednesday, Jan. 30 due to Waste Management closing the transfer station that day. Collection will run one day late the rest of the week, ending Saturday, Feb. 2.
EastSide Centre has cancelled all classes and activities for Tuesday night, Jan. 29. On Wednesday, Jan. 30, it will have a delayed opening of 7 a.m., and all classes are cancelled.
