Report: Tremont spent $9,240 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Tremont Community Unit School District 702 is down 0.7 percent from five years ago, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Tazewell County school district spent $9,307 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,240 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 968 to 983.

Tremont's spending in 2017-18 was 30.7 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
