Analysis: Washington administrators rank 637th in state for average pay

Administrators in Washington District 50 Schools earn an average of $88,645 per year, ranking 637th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 5.4% higher than in 2014 and 2.7% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 17.4% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Tazewell County school district enrolled 769 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 192 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
