Administrators in Monroe School District 70 earn an average of $82,579 per year, ranking 734th out of 864 districts in the state, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 10.5% higher than in 2014 and 23.9% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 23% less than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Peoria County school district enrolled 289 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 145 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
