The data shows that both of the released offenders in Morton were men. The younger parolee is a 30-year-old man sentenced for crimes involving alcohol in 2016, and the other is a 69-year-old man sentenced for crimes against a person in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest is Kristofer Haning. He was convicted of crimes involving alcohol in 2016 when he was 27 years old. He is now 30.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
