Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Bureau County?

There were nine offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Bureau County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that seven men and two women were released in Bureau County. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 51-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Zachariah Williams. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016 when he was 34 years old. He is now 38.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Bureau County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
