Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Tazewell County?

There were 45 offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Tazewell County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Peoria Standard.

The data shows that 42 men and three women were released in Tazewell County. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 37. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Jonathan Tandy. He was convicted of homicide in 2011 when he was 32 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Tazewell County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
