The data shows that nine men and four women were released in Pekin zip code. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age was 36. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old woman convicted of a crime against justice in 2019, and the oldest was a 53-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2019.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Clinton Jefford. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2009, when he was 33 years old. He is now 44.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
