The data shows that 61 men and 11 women were released in Pekin zip code. Of the parolees, two were veterans, and the median age was 35. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 55-year-old man convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Clinton Jefford. He was convicted of a sex crime in 2009, when he was 33 years old. He is now 44.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
