Analysis: Canton pays $3.30 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Canton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76.8 percent of the $542,697 the Canton Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.30 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Peoria Standard analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Canton contributed $416,714 to the fund, which saw a $8,926 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $125,983, or 23.2 percent, in 2018.
