City of Minonk City Council met March 2.

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was held at City Hall and was called to order by Mayor Koos at 7:00 pm.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Mayor Koos
ROLL CALL BY DEPUTY CITY CLERK: Those in attendance: Aldermen Lisa Junker, Trent Ruestman, Larry Fortner, Jonathan Stears, Russell Ruestman, and Julie McNamara.
Also in attendance: Deputy City Clerk Lisa Blanchard; City Employees Jim Brown, and Kaleb Garber; Absent:
Administrative Manager Bill Moline.

Alderman T. Ruestman moved to approve the Executive Session Minutes, seconded by Alderwoman

B. Review new Parks & Recreation volunteer applications
The council reviewed three applications received for the Parks and Rec Board. There is still a vacant position to be filled. Alderman R. Ruestman moved to appoint the three applicants Justin Immel, Rose Armes, and Kristen Amigoni the Parks and Rec Board, seconded by Alderman Stears.

ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT:
Administrative Manager Bill Moline was unable to attend to provide updates.
OLD AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None

PUBLIC COMMENTS: None
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Public Safety – Alderman R. Ruestman indicated they met earlier that evening to discuss the 2020-21 budget.
Finance – None
Public Works – Alderman T. Ruestman indicated the committee met last week to discuss capital improvement items for the 2020-21 budget.
CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS: None.
MAYOR COMMENTS: None.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: The mayor indicated due to the Administrator’s absence and knowing that he had not received any updates from the lawyer who was on vacation the prior week, he did not see the need to go into Executive Session at this time. There was no motion from the Aldermen to do so, although Alderman R. Ruestman requested the City Administrator send out any subsequent updates to the council when received.
ADJOURNMENT: Alderman R. Ruestman moved that having completed the business meeting of the Minonk City
Council the meeting is adjourned at 7:08 pm, seconded by Alderman Stears.
