East Peoria company Enercon Engineering is celebrating 45 years in business.
According to Central Illinois Proud, founder Edward Tangel's brainchild is known for its specialty in engineering, energy and defense.
“It’s not the technology that makes a business grow. It’s the integration of people that make a business grow, and that works for us,” Tangel said. “We want to integrate the people that work here that this is going to be going on for quite a while now. This sickness that’s going around is causing problems for us as far as deliveries are concerned, but we think we can get through it.”
Tangel launched Enercon Engineering Inc. in 1975. During its lifetime, the company has handled more than 44,000 projects. It has since expanded from a Central Illinois business to an international company known for its high-quality and custom-design techniques, as well as for developing generator control systems and low and medium voltage switchgear.
The company has leaned on its special “Complete Systems” method, according to its website, that helps it fulfill the needs of its growing customer base. The products the company uses are custom-engineered and all of Enercon’s controls and switchgear products are tested before they are sent to shipping.
The staff at the long-running company includes expert engineers and field service technicians who are available for any services needed after the sale.
Enercon Engineering also provides start-up commissioning or maintenance service for each of its products that it sells to its clients.
