A locally produced program will be joining WTVP's Daily Business Block Line-Up in the Peoria area, with a new Virtual YPGP LEAP Academy.
The new weekly half hour interview show called "Business Forward" is about Central Illinois businesses. It premiered Sept. 17, according to the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce. The show is hosted by a small business owner Matt George, who is also the CEO of a local nonprofit.
"'Business Forward' joins 'DW News' (weekdays at 5 p.m.), 'Consuelo Mack Wealth Track' (Mondays at 5:30 p.m.), 'DW Global 3000' (Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m.), 'Plan Stronger TV' (Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m.), 'America’s Heartland' (Fridays at 5:30 p.m.), and 'PBS NewsHour' (weekdays at 6 p.m.) to make up WTVP’s daily Business Block," the Chamber said.
The YPGP LEAP Academy 2020 was also introduced as a virtual six-week leadership program this year.
The program will feature state Rep. Ryan Spain (R-Peoria), Peoria County Regional Superintendent Beth Crider, Travis Mohlenbrink with the Spice Hospitality Group and others. The program will help give young professionals the skills needed to develop personal leadership and empower them to be active in the community.
