City of Canton issued the following announcement on Mar. 4.
Thursday, March 4: A water main break has occurred near the Water Treatment Plant on Lakeshore Drive and County Highway 27. At this time, we are unsure what residents will be affected, but when repairs are made, residents in the Canton Lake area will be without water. Check back here or to the Canton PD Facebook page for updates about the need for a boil order. UPDATE Thursday, March 4 @ 4:04pm: Crews have had to postpone the repair of the main break at Canton Lake until next week. Water service has been restored for now, and no boil order is necessary at this time. If your water is cloudy/colored/has debris, then let the tap run a bit, and it should clear up.
City crews replaced a fire hydrant on Monday at the corner of W. Elm and Avenue D. Residents on West Elm from Avenue D to the dead end are under a Boil Order until further notice. UPDATE: This boil order for W. Elm Street has now been lifted.
Today, a water main break on W. Maple Street is resulting in a Boil Order for water customers on W. Maple from Avenue A to Avenue B, and on Martin Avenue from W. Walnut St. to W. Oak Street. This will affect Fresenius Kidney Care and the North Central Behavioral Health Systems. This boil order is in effect until further notice.
UPDATE: This boil order for W. Maple and Martin Ave. has also been lifted.
