Chillicothe Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on Mar. 10.
Hear and hopefully see American Woodcock make their mating calls "Peent" and observe their aerial displays. This occurs only for a couple weeks in early spring each year. Dress warmly, and consider bringing a flashlight. There were 4 birds observed on Monday. This event occurs at dusk, and there will be some limited walking on mostly level ground. Free and open to the public.
