City of Chillicothe Public Works Committee Met March 3.

The Public Works Committee met at 4:30 P.M., in person and via teleconference in the Council chambers at City Hall.
Present at the meeting in the council chambers: Chairman Gould, Alderman Hughes, Alderman Sharp, Alderman Jenkins, Mayor White, Superintendent Sutherland, City Engineer Coulter, Office Manager Passage, and Amanda Beadles
Present at the meeting via teleconference: no one
The meeting was broadcasted via zoom.
Chairman Gould called the meeting to order.
PUBLIC COMMENT
No public was on zoom.
Budget Review – Superintendent Sutherland stated that the budget expenses should be at 83.3% and the funds are as follows: Road & Bridge 59.58%, water 57.17%, sewer 55.86%. High Usage Waiver Request – nothing to report
Overlay Program 21-22 – Engineer Coulter recommended that Second Street from Cloverdale to Elm be overlaid and Santa Fe from Hickory to . The projected cost is $160,000. We will also do spray patching in a projected amount of $15,000.00. Engineer Coulter recommended that we present to the council a resolution in the amount of $175,000.00 for the overlay and spray patching. The consensus of the committee was to present to resolution at the March 8 council meeting.
Cloverdale – Sewer Update – Superintendent Sutherland stated that there was no resolution to the Cloverdale sewer issue with Mr. Welter. A discussion ensued regarding reimbursing Mr. Welter for his loss. The consensus of the committee was to reimburse Mr. Welter $750.00 with the attorney drafting an agreement that is would not be precedence setting. The expense will be placed in the bills for March 8 council meeting.
Liens – Nothing to report due to not being able to disconnect because of the weather. Project Update – Mayor reported that he will be approaching the School District to consider extending the term of the Central Business District TIF.
