NEW BUSINESS
6.1. Resolution No. 286-21/22 Award 5th / Parkway Concrete & ADA Ramp Project Contract
City Engineer, Ms. Josie Esker, presented the agenda item to Council to award to Knapp Concrete Contractors a contract to install sidewalk ramps and make curb and sidewalk repairs along 5th Street between Washington & Derby and along Parkway between Willow & Lick Creek. The project was included in the 2021 Street Maintenance Plan approved previously by Council. Ms. Esker stated that the engineer’s estimate was 10% under.

6.3. Ordinance No. 2993-21/22 Approve Lease Agreement with Leman Property Management at Sunset Plaza Shopping Center for Court Street Construction Field Office
City Engineer, Ms. Josie Esker, presented the request to Council to approve a lease agreement with Leman Property Management at Sunset Plaza Shopping Center for Court Street construction field office. Ms. Esker stated that it was typical to lease a field office to make the project run more effectively and efficiently. Ms. Esker advised that the cost would be $3,500 for the duration of the year plus utilities.
Councilmember Orrick questioned whether the construction money from the State could be used and if it was a month to month lease. Ms. Esker explained that it would be paid out of local funds as it was not an eligible expense and that it was a month to month lease agreement.
