Astoria High School issued the following announcement on Sept. 22

Daily Thought-- Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day, saying, “I will try again tomorrow"

The National Honor Society-- is sponsoring a blood drive on Monday, October 4 from 8:45 to 1:45 in the High School Gym. You must at least 16 to donate, but you must have a signed parental permission form before you will be allowed to do so. Students 17 and older do not need parental permission. Everyone who donates will receive a free t-shirt while supplies las. To sign up, contact Mr. Bastien or and NHS member. Make sure you eat something the morning of and bring a photo ID with you.

All students-- Please log out of your computer every day. Mrs. Massaglia and Mrs. Wherley need to do software updates after school. It will be take a few weeks to get the entire building updated so log out every day.

Bake Sale -- Thursday, September 23rd during high school lunch to raise money for Sleep in Heavenly Peace foundation, which raises money to buy beds for kids in need. Sponsored by Mrs Wesley's cooking class.

College Visits--

Illinois College Thursday, September 23 during ZH and lunch for a table display. Zero hour will be for seniors to visit and lunch will be for anyone else.

McKendree University will be here TODAY from 10:00-10:45. McKendree University is located in Lebanon, IL which is in the southern part of our state about 30 minutes from St. Louis.
