City of Eureka City Council met Feb. 7.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
The Eureka City Council convened in regular session at Eureka City Hall at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Eric Lind called the meeting to order and led The Pledge of Allegiance and then directed the City Services Coordinator to call the roll. Present were Aldermen Chambliss, Logan, Peterson, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson. Aldermen Germann and Klaus were absent. Also in attendance were Lynn Hinnen, Tresurer; Chief Alex Collinge, Assistant Chief Jones, Erik Hasselbacher; and Melissa Brown, City Services Coordinator.
Moved by Peterson, second by Wilson, to approve the minutes of the January 18, 2022 regular meeting of the City Council. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Chambliss, Logan, Peterson, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson all voting aye.
Moved by Teegarden, second by Wilson, to approve the minutes of the committee meetings for the month of January 2022. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Chambliss, Logan, Peterson, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson all voting aye.
Peterson and Lind asked to amend the minutes from the January 18, 2022 Public Safety Committee meeting to show the city was trying to be flexible to support businesses by allowing the curbside parking signs and the City will reimburse the business for their cost and removal.
The Mayor asked for public comments on any action to be taken on Agenda items. There were none.
Moved by Chambliss, second by Peterson, to approve and pay the bills as the City’s obligation in the amount of $566,925.93. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Chambliss, Logan, Peterson, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson all voting aye.

Chairman Mayor Lind of the Liquor Commission: No report
New Business: Logan asked about the marketing report from the Bradley Grad Students. Mayor Lind explained some of the items from that report would be discussed by Economic Development. Charters of Freedom is still in the works with Mayor Lind and Shelly Schwanke are working to organize volunteers.

There being no further business to come before the Council the meeting adjourned at 738 p.m.
