In a Facebook post this week, state Sen. Win Stoller (R-Dist. 37) informed Illinois residents of the ninth annual "America's Best Looking Cruiser Contest," which is hosted by the American Association of State Troopers (AAST).
"The Illinois State Police Cruiser is currently entered in the annual America's Best Looking Cruiser contest," Stoller said in the post. He also noted that the voting period for the contest will conclude on Aug. 25.
The calendar contest asks state law enforcement departments from throughout the United States to submit an original picture that represents their state, a recent WSILTV report said. The winner of the competition will be featured on the cover of the next AAST calendar, together with 12 other cruisers.
The American Association of State Troopers Foundation will receive all proceeds from sales of the AAST calendar.
