City of Eureka City Council met Dec. 5.

The Eureka City Council convened in regular session on December 5, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Eric Lind called the meeting to order and after a moment of silence led The Pledge of Allegiance and then directed the City Clerk to call the roll. Present were Aldermen Chambliss, Klaus, Logan, Peterson, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson. Also in attendance were Lynn Hinnen, Treasurer; Erik Hasselbacher, Director of Public Works; and Melissa Brown, City Services Coordinator.
Moved by Wilson, second by Peterson, to approve the minutes of the November 21, 2022, regular meeting of the City Council. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Wilson, Peterson, Chambliss, Klaus, Logan, Teegarden and Williams all voting Aye.
Moved by Peterson, second by Klaus, to approve the minutes of the November 7 Enterprise meeting and the November 21 meeting of Administration & Personnel Committee. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Peterson, Klaus, Chambliss, Logan, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson all voting Aye.
The Mayor asked for public comments on any action to be taken on Agenda items. There were none.
Moved by Chambliss, second by Peterson, to approve and pay the bills as the City's obligation in the amount of $68,413.91. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Chambliss, Peterson, Klaus, Logan, Teegarden, Williams and Wilson all voting Aye
Moved by Teegarden, second by Peterson, to approve the 2023 Special Events Calendar for Eureka Lake Park. Melissa reported on the many organizations and events using the Park. Discussion was held. Passed on roll call vote with Aldermen Teegarden, Peterson, Chambliss, Klaus, Logan, Williams and Wilson all voting Aye.
Committee Reports:
Chairman Chambliss of the Budget Committee: No report.
Chairman Chambliss of the Administration and Personnel Committee: No report
Chairman Teegarden of the Enterprise Committee: No report
Chairman Peterson of the Maintenance Committee: Erik reported on the sewer projects. Leaf pickup is completed and snow plows are on the trucks.
Chairman L. Klaus of the Public Safety Committee: No report
Chairman of the Park and Recreation Committee: No report
Chairman Teegarden of the Economic Development Committee: No report
Chairman Mayor Lind of the Liquor Committee: No report
New Business: Chambliss asked about installing a streaming camera at the Lake.

There being no further business to come before the Council the meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
