City of El Paso City Council met Dec. 5.

A Regular Meeting of the El Paso City Council was called to order by Mayor J.W. Price on December 5, 2022 at 7:01 PM.
Council Members Present: Kilpatrick, Brucker, and Barker. Absent: None. On Zoom: Staulcup. Late: Moore at 7:27 PM and Mool at 7:29 PM. The Mayor reported the meeting is being recorded.
Present in Person: Director of Public Services Barry Kauther, Treasurer Linda Haas and Clerk David Fever. Also present: Jennie Kearney as the local press.
Also present by Zoom Application: Administrative Assistant Sandee Kessinger and other names from zoom software was Kim and Karen.
Pledge of allegiance to the flag was recited.
Approval of Agenda: Motion by Brucker, seconded by Kilpatrick to approve agenda as presented. Voice vote taken of all ayes.
Consent Agenda.
Council Minutes: The minutes of the November 21, 2022 City Council Meeting were presented in written form.
Register of Bills: The Register of Bills in the amount of $ 441,183.36 as of December 5th was presented.
Approval of Consent Agenda: Motion by Kilpatrick, seconded by Brucker to approve items on consent agenda. Voice vote taken of all ayes.
Public Comments: None
Old Business: School Resource Officer: Motion by Brucker, seconded by Staulcup to accept School Resource Officer Job Description as presented. Roll call vote taken of all ayes of the four Council Persons in attendance and on Zoom.
New Business: Comprehensive Plan 1.5-mile boundary. Discussed briefly and an ordinance will be presented to include City Zoning for this area along with some other modifications.
Director of Public Service: Written report given.
Mayor's Report: The Mayor spoke of decoration on Gazebo, Kiwanis Christmas Lights in Jefferson Park and Christmas Walk last Saturday.
Alderman Moore arrived at 7:27 PM and Alderman Mool at 7:29 PM.
City Council Comments: None
Police Chief Report: The Chief was absent.
Clerk's Report: The Clerk reported on People's Party Caucus and Petition deadline of December 19, 2023.
Attorney Stoller was absent.
Motion by Brucker, seconded by Kilpatrick to adjourn. Voice vote taken of all ayes. Meeting adjourned at 7:31 PM.
