Game Recap
Potential inclement weather forced both Bradley and Illinois to navigate a quick schedule change early this morning when the two schools decided to forego the original 6:00 p.m. start time in Peoria and instead play an earlier 3:00 p.m. first pitch in Champaign. Bradley and Illinois combined for 21 total hits in the contest with Bradley being led by Logan Delgado who went 3-4 with two doubles and two runs batted in. BU would pitch by committee against Illinois with five different Braves getting turns at the Illinois lineup. Dalton Mall started the contest on the mound for BU going 2.2 innings giving up two hits and three earned runs while striking out two batters. Illinois leaned on Drake Westcott's great performance. Westcott went 2-3 including a three-run homerun that regained the Illini the lead after Bradley tied the game at 3-3 in the top of the 5th inning. TJ Manteufel also swung a hot bat for Bradley going 2-4 with a home run of his own bringing his season total to three.
