City of El Paso City Council met Feb. 20.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

A Regular Meeting of the El Paso City Council was called to order by Mayor Price on Zoom, on February 20, 2023 at 7:00 PM.

Council Members Present: Kilpatrick, Brucker, Moore and Mool. Absent: Barker & Staulcup. On Zoom: None. It was reported the meeting is being recorded.

Present in Person: Director of Public Services Barry Kauther, Clerk David Fever, Recreation Director Colton Scott, Attorney Stoller and Police Chief Montemurro. Also present: Brandi Montalbano and Jennie Kearney as the local press.

Also present by Zoom Application: Administrative Assistant Sandee Kessinger and Public Works Supervisor Jones. Other name on zoom software was Kim.

Pledge of allegiance to the flag was recited.

Approval of Agenda: Motion by Mool, seconded by Brucker to approve the agenda as presented. Voice vote taken of all ayes.

Consent Agenda.

Council Minutes: The minutes of the February 6, 2023 City Council Meeting were presented in written form.

Register of Bills: The Register of Bills in the amount of $ 71,1037.74 as of February 20th was presented.

Treasurer's Report: The Treasurer's report for the month ending January 31, 2023 showing investments, revenue and expenses was presented in written form.

Approval of Consent Agenda: Motion by Brucker, seconded by Moore to approve items on consent agenda. Voice call vote taken of all ayes.

Public Comments: None.

Old Business: None.

New Business:

Agreement City and TNT Holdings - Stairway: Motion by Brucker, seconded by Mool to approve a licenses agreement between the City of El Paso and TNT Holdings LLC in reference to installing a stairway to the basement of the building. Roll call vote taken of all ayes.

Motor Fuel Tax 2023 projects: Motion by Kilpatrick, seconded by Moore to approve MFT Resolution for FY 2023 General Maintenance under the Illinois Highway Code for $153,736.82 and to authorize the Mayor and. Clerk to sign said Resolution. Voice vote taken of all ayes

Director of Public Service: Report was presented in written form. Barry also reported on incentive for paper less and Auto Pay with 61 signing up for Auto Pay and 100 for paper less.

Mayor's Report: The Mayor had nothing more.

City Council Comments: None.

Police Chief Report: The Chief presented his written report. He also reported training will be this week concerning camera's on Route 24.

Operations Supervisor: Report presented in written form.

Parks and Recreation Department: Colton's report given in written form.

Clerk's Report: The Clerk reported Sales taxes for the month of November 2022 was down 4.74% from SPLY and year to date after 11 months was off 2.56%.

Attorney Stoller had nothing additional to report.

Motion by Mool seconded by Brucker to adjourn. Voice vote taken of all ayes. Meeting adjourned at 7:29 PM.
