Work is currently underway to restore reverse diagonal downtown parking to forward, pull-in angle parking on Fulton Street, SW Madison Avenue, and SW Monroe Street.
At this time, drivers should utilize forward, pull-in angle parking in the applicable spaces. Signs notifying the change will be installed over the next few days.
Temporary painted parking spaces will be in place for approximately two weeks before final permanent striping can be placed. Permanent striping is expected to begin on Monday, August 28, weather permitting.
Additional parking and lane restrictions will be forthcoming as the project progresses.
Drivers should be mindful of bagged, “No Parking” meters as work to turn and move parking meters occurs. Motorists should use extra caution and watch for workers in the area.
