City of Eureka City Council met Aug. 21.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

1. Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Roll Call.

3. Approval of Minutes from August 7, 2023 Council Meeting.

4. Approval of minutes of the Committee Meetings held within the prior 30 days. (1st monthly meeting)

5. Treasurer's Report (2nd monthly meeting).

6. Public Comments on any action to be taken on Agenda items.

7. Approval of semi-monthly bills.

8. Consideration of accepting a bid for HIlldale Water Main Replacement Project. The low bidder was Walker Excavating, Inc. for $154,691.29 and the engineer's estimate was $201,975.00.

9. Consideration of approving recommendation from Eureka Public Safety Committee, Resolution 23-09, a resolution for a school resource officer at District 140.

10. Executive Session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2(C)(5) for the purpose of the discussion of the purchase., lease, or acquisition of property.

11. Executive Session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/29(c)(11) discussion of possible or imminent litigation.

12. Committee Reports:

Enterprise Committee - Mr. Teegarden.
