Illinois' 93rd House District is proud to introduce one of its dedicated staff members, Karun Jaswal. Karun, a student at Black Hawk College in Moline, has a passion for politics and a strong desire to serve the community.

Karun's interest in government and politics dates back to 2016, and since then, he has been actively involved in various political activities. He has had the privilege of meeting influential figures such as former President Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Governor Ron DeSantis.

"I wanted to work in government because of the interest in politics I gained back in 2016," Karun expressed. "Ever since then, I have been involved in politics in some way, shape, or form."

In addition to his commitment to public service, Karun also works with his family at their gas stations in Annawan, Galva, Geneseo, and Morrison. Despite his busy schedule, he finds time to indulge in his hobbies, which include watching the UFC, NBA, and NFL, as well as spending quality time with friends and family.

Karun's internship with Representative Weaver's office provides him with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the legislative process, specifically in Illinois. He also aims to bring fresh ideas to the 93rd District by leveraging his extensive network of politicians across the country.

"I hope to gain a better understanding of how the legislative process works, specifically in Illinois," Karun shared. "I also hope to bring new ideas to the 93rd District by leveraging my broad network of politicians around the country."

Based out of the Kewanee office, Karun is ready to serve the constituents of Illinois' 93rd House District. Representative Weaver encourages everyone to stop by and say hello to Karun whenever they get the chance.
