CERT Training Starts March 21st

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training in basic disaster response skills. Waukegan Fire Department hosts free CERT training and the next cohort starts Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 7pm.  Each session is three hours long and the course includes seven sessions. Graduates will receive a FEMA certificate.

If you are interested in attending Waukegan CERT training, fill out the application (PDF) and email to Captain Burleson by Thursday, March 21st at 4pm.  Applicants must be at least 18 years old and reside in Illinois. A background check may be conducted by the Waukegan Police Department.
