City of El Paso City Council met Feb. 5.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

A Regular Meeting of the El Paso City Council was called to order by Mayor Price on February 5 22, 2024 at 7:00 PM.

Council Members Present: Mool, Brucker, Moore, Kilpatrick and Howard. Zoom: None. Absent: Ragusa. It was reported the meeting is being recorded.

Present in Person: Recreation Supervisor Colton Scott and Rebecca Martin, Police Chief Joe Montemurro, Clerk David Fever, Administrative Assistant Sandee Kessinger, Attorney Stoller at 7:06 PM and Treasurer Linda Haas. Also present: Teresa Gauger, Jim and Ellen McWilliams, Karen Wilkey, Lisa Hocker, Julie Hagar and Jennie Kearney as the local press.

Also present by Zoom Application: Public Works Director Casey Jones. Other name on zoom software was Kim.

Pledge of allegiance to the flag was recited.

Approval of Agenda: Motion by Moore, seconded by Kilpatrick to approve the agenda as presented. Voice vote taken of all ayes.

Consent Agenda.

Council Minutes: The minutes of the January 22, 2024 City Council Meeting were presented in written form. (A correction is being made prior to approval, No written report was given by Colton)

Register of Bills: The Register of Bills in the amount of $ 5,729.40 as of February 5th was presented.

Water & Sewer Committee Minutes: The minutes of the January 22, 2024 Water & Sewer Committee were presented in written form.

Approval of Consent Agenda: Motion by Moore, seconded by Brucker to approve items on consent agenda with correction. Voice call vote taken of all ayes.

Public Comments: None.

New Business:

Proposed Resolution #2024-1: Motion by Brucker, seconded by Kilpatrick to approve Resolution #2024-1 a resolution adopting the 2023 Woodford Count Multi - Jurisdictional Multi - Hazard Mitigation Plan. Roll call vote taken of all ayes.

Proposed Resolution #2024-2: Motion by Moore, seconded by Brucker to approve Resolution #2024-2, a resolution for maintenance under the Illinois Highway Code for Motor Fuel Tax Funs and Rebuild Illinois Tax Fund. Roll call vote taken of all ayes.

ABC Recreation Center Financial Presentation: Colton and Rebbeca prepared and presented a presentation to Mayor and Council on participation and financial activity for new ABC Center from June 1st 2023 to February 1st, 2024. Council members were pleased with results and ask for similar report after a year of operations.

Director of Public Service: Report was presented in written form and he reported mold removal will be done tomorrow at City Hall by a contractor.

Mayor's Report: The Mayor reported he was disappointed by the online video and how City Hall employees are being mistreated by phone calls that followed.

City Council Comments: None.

Police Chief Report: Chief spoke of Grant work being submitted concerning body cameras.

Attorney Stoller had nothing to report.

City Clerk: Completed Statements of Economic Interest have been filed with County Clerk.

Motion by Mool seconded by Kilpatrick to adjourn. Voice vote taken of all ayes. Meeting adjourned at 7:48 PM.
