Applications for the 2024 Neighborhood Mini Grant Program Open on March 4

The city of Peoria has announced that applications for the Neighborhood Mini Grant Program will be accepted from Monday, March 4th at 9:00 AM through Friday, April 8th at 3:00 PM.

According to the announcement, the Neighborhood Mini Grant Program provides funding for projects that aim to improve neighborhoods and foster community spirit, with a maximum funding amount of $5,000 per project. As stated in the program guidelines, applicants are required to demonstrate proof of community support for their proposed projects, which must be completed by Friday, December 13th, 2024.

Among the eligible projects listed are security cameras, block parties, tree-plantings, public space improvements, outreach initiatives, placemaking, and public art. These projects are intended to enhance the quality of life in Peoria's neighborhoods and promote a sense of belonging among residents.

3. In-Person: Visit City Hall, 419 Fulton Street, Room 203, Peoria, IL 61602 (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

The application period is scheduled to begin at 8:00 AM on Monday, March 4th, and will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, April 8th. City staff will review all applications, with decisions expected to be made in mid-April.
