Senator Neil Anderson and Representative Weaver have called upon Governor Pritzker to allocate necessary resources to address the maintenance needs of the Bishop Hill State Historic Site. In a recent correspondence, Rep. Weaver emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, "Last Week, Senator Neil Anderson and I sent Gov. Pritzker a letter requesting desperately needed funds and attention from the General Assembly and the Governor’s Office to repair buildings at the State-owned Bishop Hill State Historic Site."

Sen. Anderson further stressed the significance of the site within the community, urging for immediate action by stating, "The Site is the foundation of the community, and we are urging the General Assembly and the Governor to make this a priority in the FY25 budget."
