Lydia Moss Bradley, a pioneering figure, founded the Bradley Polytechnic Institute in 1896. This visionary approach to education laid the foundation for what is now known as Bradley University.

The impact of Lydia Moss Bradley's work extends far beyond the institution she founded. Today, Bradley University stands as a cornerstone in the Greater Peoria Area, catering to the educational needs of countless students. Rep. Weaver highlighted this significance by stating, "Now known as Bradley University, the institution serves as a pillar in the Greater Peoria Area."
