City of Batavia Board of Fire & Police Commissioners met Feb. 26.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Roll Call

Members Present: Chairman Nancy Vance, Secretary Dennis Anderson,

Members Absent: Commissioner Randy Zies

Others Present: Fire Chief Craig Hanson; Amy Emerson, Testing for Police Safety, LLC.; and Joanne Miller, Recording Secretary

None.

NEW BUSINESS

Review The Promotional Oral Interview Process for Fire Lieutenant and Battalion Chief

The fire department will be doing promotional oral interviews on March 19, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The commissioners will be reviewing the oral interview process today with Amy Emerson, Public Safety Testing, LLC.

Motion: To adjourn into Executive Session to discuss fire department promotional testing.

Maker: Anderson

Second: Vance

Voice Vote: 2 Ayes, 0 Nays, 1 Absent. All in favor. Motion carried.

The Board entered Executive Session at 9:40 a.m.

Motion: To return to Open Session.

Maker: Anderson

Second: Vance

Voice Vote: 2 Ayes, 0 Nays, 1 Absent. All in favor. Motion carried.

The Board returned to Open Session at 10:58 a.m.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to consider, a motion was made by Secretary Anderson to adjourn the meeting at 10:59 a.m. Seconded by Chairman Vance. All in favor. Motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:59 a.m. The next regular meeting will be Tuesday, March 19, 2024, beginning at 4:00 p.m. This meeting will be held at the East Side Fire Department
