Rep. Weaver Highlights Family Violence Prevention and Services Discretionary Grant Programs

On April 19, 2024, Representative Weaver brought attention to the Family Violence Prevention and Services Discretionary Grant Program, aiming to combat family violence, domestic violence, and dating violence by addressing the needs of children exposed to such situations.

The grant, managed by the Administration for Children and Families, will support 50 demonstration projects with an award amount ranging from $275,000 to $450,000. Eligible applicants include public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, as well as private institutions of higher education.
