Rep. Weaver recently welcomed a group of students from Peoria Academy to the Capitol, expressing her admiration for their inquisitiveness and commitment to learning. The legislator had previously interacted with these students at their school and had read essays they wrote about her bills.
"My faith in the next generation is fully restored! I couldn’t be more proud of this group of Peoria Academy students who visited me today," said Rep. Weaver. She went on to describe how she has gotten to know them over the past few months, noting their tough questions and genuine desire to learn.
She also expressed optimism about their future contributions to society, stating, "They will make fantastic members of the community today and in the future." In a light-hearted note to the students, she added, "Wear your sunglasses kids! The future is bright."
