Aaron Jon Schock was born on May 28, 1981, in Morris, Minnesota, but he was raised in Peoria, Illinois, where he grew up to become a prominent figure in local and national politics. His early life in Peoria instilled in him a strong sense of community and civic responsibility. Schock's political career began at a young age when he was elected to the Peoria School Board at just 19 years old, making him one of the youngest school board members in Illinois history. He later served as a member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing the 92nd district, before being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2008, where he represented Illinois's 18th congressional district. Throughout his tenure in Congress, Schock focused on issues such as economic development, healthcare reform, and agricultural policy, advocating for the interests of his constituents in Peoria and beyond. Despite facing controversy and criticism during his time in office, Schock remained dedicated to serving the people of Illinois and working to improve their lives. His connection to Peoria remained strong throughout his career, and he continued to be a prominent figure in the local community even after leaving office.
