Peoria Standard

Freedom House is a non-profit organization that provides compassionate, confidential, and free services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. They also offer awareness and prevention education.

Since its founding in 1983, Freedom House has expanded its services and locations, including shelters, outreach offices, and legal advocate offices. The organization offers programs such as shelter, advocacy, counseling, domestic violence education, legal advocacy, parenting classes, and 24-hour medical advocacy for victims of sexual violence.

Freedom House continues to work towards its vision of a world free of sexual assault and domestic violence. The organization offers a 24-hour hotline and serves residents in Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Putnam, and Stark counties.
