The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has announced the commencement of road construction on Illinois Route 78 in Kewanee. The project is expected to last until November 15, affecting the area from 10th Street to the north side of the BNSF Railway.
Motorists traveling through this section are advised to proceed with caution due to patching work that will necessitate temporary daily lane closures and the presence of flaggers. IDOT encourages drivers to allow for additional travel time and consider alternative routes during this period.
