Three UChicago Medicine AdventHealth hospitals have been recognized with top safety grades by The Leapfrog Group for their efforts in preventing medical errors, injuries, infections, and other patient harm. The hospitals that received "A" grades are UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook, Hinsdale, and La Grange.
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale and La Grange have maintained an "A" grade for 23 consecutive grading periods since the fall of 2013. Meanwhile, UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook has achieved the same grade for five consecutive periods starting in fall 2022.

The Leapfrog Group is an independent national nonprofit watchdog dedicated to patient safety. It assigns grades from “A” to “F” to general hospitals based on over 30 performance measures related to errors, accidents, injuries, and infections. Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group said: “Achieving an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade is a significant accomplishment for UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook, Hinsdale and La Grange.”
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program solely focused on preventable medical errors. This peer-reviewed program updates its grades biannually in fall and spring.
