Yesterday, a celebration took place to mark the completion of the Bishop Hill Fence Project. This initiative was a collaborative effort involving community organizations, the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC), and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).

The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially recognize those who contributed to the project's success. The Bishop Hill Fence Project was a public-private partnership that included the Kewanee Life Skills Re-Entry Center (IDOC), Rotary Community Corps, and the Rotary Club of Galva. More than 50 inmates participated in creating materials and constructing fencing around the park in the Village center.

"Thank you to everyone who made this project a reality!" said Rep. Weaver at the event.
