The Illinois State Treasurer's Office is holding its 13th annual Cream of the Crop Photo Contest, providing students aged 8 to 18 with a platform to express their perspectives on Illinois agriculture. The contest, which started recently, will continue until June 13, 2025.

Participants are eligible to submit up to two photographs that embody themes such as rural and urban Illinois farm landscapes, livestock, farm buildings, vineyards, u-pick operations, and farm equipment. The contest will recognize outstanding entries with prizes in three distinct age categories.

Further information on the contest is available through the office of Michael W. Frerichs, who oversees the competition as the Illinois State Treasurer.
