Sidewalk removal has commenced at pedestrian crossings along SW Jefferson Avenue, opposite Liberty Street, near the Civic Center at 201 SW Jefferson Avenue. This is part of the Adams Street and Jefferson Avenue One-Way to Two-Way Conversion Project.

The work extends to various intersections on Jefferson Avenue and SW Adams Street. Notable locations include the southwest corner of Fayette Street and NE Jefferson Avenue near 228 NE Jefferson Avenue, the southeast corner of Main Street and NE Jefferson Avenue close to the Peoria County Courthouse, along Fulton Plaza between 120 SW Jefferson Avenue and 331 Fulton Street, and the northeast corner of SW Adams Street and N William Kumpf Boulevard.

Pedestrians are advised to exercise caution in areas where sidewalks are closed and should cross streets at the nearest available intersections. Parking restrictions have been put in place with marked on-street parking meters. Drivers should look for unbagged meters for available spots, avoiding those with "No Parking" signs.

As the project progresses, additional parking, lane, and sidewalk restrictions will be announced. Drivers should remain aware of workers in these areas and heed no parking signs while exercising extra caution.
