Village of Beach Park Village Board met May 8.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Beach Park Village Board held a Regular Board Meeting on May 8, 2025 at the Beach Park Village Hall at 7:27 P.M. ( Clerk McDonald was late to the meeting.) PRESENT: Mayor John Hucker, Clerk Mary Jo McDonald, Attorney James Ferolo. Trustees: Richard Gust, Don Jensen, Regina Miller, Linda Sittig, Larry Wells and Michael Wynn.

Public Comment Agenda Items

None

Consent Agenda

Tr. Gust made a motion to approve the Consent Agenda which includes the following items:

a. Approval of Village Board Regular Meeting Minutes – April 24, 2025.

b. Bills presented for payment in the amount of $263,348.35.

Tr. Miller seconded the motion. Roll Call.

Swearing In of Village Officials

Village President John Hucker performed the swearing in of Clerk Mary Jo McDonald for a 4-year term. 

Board Meeting Adjourned – Sine Die. Tr. Miller made a motion to adjourn the Board Meeting. Tr. Gust seconded the motion. Roll Call. 

Village Clerk Mary Jo McDonald performed the swearing in of Newly Elected Village President John Hucker and Village Trustees Don Jensen, Regina Miller and Larry Wells for a 4- year term and Trustee Michael Wynn for a 2 year term.

Village President John Hucker asked the Village Clerk Mary Jo McDonald to call roll to Reconvene the meeting with the New Board. Roll Call.

Mayor’s Report

Mayor Hucker will be deciding on Committee Assignments for the New Board and asked the Trustees for their input.

Finance Committee 

Tr. Jensen reported that there will be no meeting in May of the Finance Committee.

Parks and Recreation Committee 

Tr. Gust had no report

Planning, Building and Zoning Committee 

Tr. Wells had no report.

Ordinance 2025-O-4 

Tr. Wells made a motion to PASS ORDINANCE 2025-O-4, AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 10.08.010 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING OVERNIGHT PARKING PROVISIONS IN CARILLON (CAMBRIDGE SUBDIVISION.). Tr. Gust seconded the motion. Roll Call.

Public Relations and Intergovernmental Committee 

Tr. Miller had no report.

Public Safety Committee 

Tr. Sittig had no report. 

Public Works Committee 

Tr. Miller asked Pat Spencer Director of Public Works about last Saturdays Spring Cleanup which included residents west of Sheridan Rd. This coming Saturday includes residents east of Sheridan Rd. 

Tax Increment Finance Committee

Mayor Hucker had no report.
